The Jackson Hole Snowmobile Hill Climb started in 1975 as a small-scale, local-led race and has grown into an event that draws spectators from around the world. The Snowmobile Hill Climb gives locals and visitors alike a mountainside view of racers who will attempt to ride their 500-pound machines up 1,571 feet to the summit of Snow King Mountain.
More than a mountain race
The race to the top is more than a world-championship competition, it’s recognized by local businesses and nonprofit organizations as a vital spring event that attracts thousands of visitors.
The Snowmobile Hill Climb is put on by a group of volunteers called the Jackson Hole Snow Devils who, in addition to their philanthropic efforts, provide an educational platform for winter sports and activities, like avalanche training. By supporting events like the Hill Climb, you can further the mission of the Snow Devils and experience all that Jackson Hole has to offer in the springtime.
